Custom saber galleries
Welcome to Cheapsabers, your source for affordable costuming and fan film props. Most of this site will be a gallery of sabers I have made in the past, but there will be links to custom sabers currently being made and sold.

Older custom sabers
These custom sabers were made around the same time as my old metal and PVC sabers. Every one of these was pretty much an experiment on my part, just seeing if I could do something new.

Custom saber 1
This was one of my first two custom sabers (made at the same time, so I can't really call either a 'first'). It came with a unique emitter. I've never made another one like it. It was also one of my first sabers ever to have a blade installed, and I believe the only one with a blade that I'd ever sold on ebay. I also installed a belt loop on the base.

Custom saber 2
This was the other one of my first two custom sabers, I was going for a very simple design with this one. This is one of my favorate sabers that I ever made, it just ended up looking really good in my opinion. Very minimalistic, not too much detail crammed in there. And I like that.

Custom saber 3
This was one of my first experiments using PVC as extensively as decoration and grips on a metal saber. It turned out pretty nifty looking, for a first try.

Custom saber 4
This was one that I had sitting around after I went out of business, and I never ended up selling until recently. It is the cheapest, and easier to make metal saber I ever made. This was an attempt to see just how little I could spend and still make a good looking saber.
And I think I did a damn good job. I don't think everything in this saber added up to costing more than 7 or 8 dollars, max.

Custom saber 5
This one I made at the same time as custom saber 4, with a similar use of the foam rubber unique grips. This one is a body similar to my type 3 metal saber, but with a unique grip and a different endcap.

Custom saber 6
This was another saber that I hadn't sold when I went out of business, I just sold it when I started back up again along with custom saber 4. This was probably the best saber I'd ever made at the time, and you'd better believe that I was sorry to see it go. It had a thick body, with another tube inside both to make a cool looking emitter, and to allow a 3/4 inch blade to fit inside. It had a very thick, heavy grip at the bottom to help balance it out for one handed or two handed combat. It was fitted with a blade at one point, with the screws to hold it in place, but when I sold it, I sold it without a blade. I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did.
I really miss this one. Maybe I'll try to make another one like it. It won't be quite the same, but then again, a custom saber never is.
