Old saber galleries
Welcome to Cheapsabers, your source for affordable costuming and fan film props. Most of this site will be a gallery of sabers I have made in the past, but there will be links to custom sabers currently being made and sold.

Old PVC sabers
This was my attempt at making all-PVC sabers. Very cheap, decently durable. These were supposed to be used as extra cheap props for extras in fan films mostly.

PVC saber type 1
This was a fairly simple saber with wiper style grips, and it had room for a PVC belt clip that I invented. Basically it was a curve of PVC that would snap tightly around the saber itself.
Come to think of it, I should do more like that. It worked well. Anyhow, on to the pictures.

PVC saber type 2
This was a detachable double-sided saber, made to be used either as a double sided, or as two single sided sabers. Not very durable when attached, like most of the PVC sabers it was mostly for show rather than actual use.

PVC saber type 3
This saber was similar in design to the type 1, only with the wiper style grips farther down, and no room there for a belt clip. A clip could have been used up at the top though instead.

PVC saber type 4
This saber had an interesting grip style, it wasn't very sturdy at all since the bottom grip was a bit bigger than the body, and was only held on by epoxy. But it looked nifty, and it had room for a belt loop.

PVC saber type 5
This was one of my favorates, and I only have one picture of it here for some reason. It was one of the few PVC sabers that I made that would hold up well to fighting. It was designed for a one handed style, and it had a fairly heavy base that would help balance out a blade well. I also liked the color scheme, with the black base and silver emitter end.

PVC saber type 6
This one was made to be similar to the type 2, a detachable double sided saber. Only this time, I left most of the body blank and let people request different kinds of grips on it.

Well, that's it for my PVC saber collection. I did have one unique gold one I did, that unfortunately I have no picture of. Maybe I'll repaint it sometime to freshen it up and sell it on ebay, maybe I won't. Who knows.
