Custom saber galleries
Welcome to Cheapsabers, your source for affordable costuming and fan film props. Most of this site will be a gallery of sabers I have made in the past, but there will be links to custom sabers currently being made and sold.

Unsold sabers
These sabers are ones that I either chose to never sell, or made for myself, friends or family. I hope to have some more unique and interesting things here eventually.

The Lightclaw
This was an idea I had for a character in a fanfic I started to write a long time ago. One of the characters, a catlike alien, instead of using a lightsaber used a lightclaw. It had two blades (otherwise he'd risk cutting his arm every time he blocked... with two blades it makes it much easier to block without hurting himself), starting right in front of the elbow and going forward past his hands. In order to make sure he couldn't accidentally hit the blades with his hands, the activation button was going to be on a metal part that came down between his thumb and went across his palm. That way he could only turn the saber on when his hand was clenched around that metal strip, and he wouldn't be able to accidentally hurt himself.
The lightclaw I made was pretty crappy, but eventually I'm going to try to make a better one. I also have a plan for another kind of lightclaw, one that is held in the hand rather than strapped onto the arm.

Obi-Wan style saber
This saber was a gift to my neice, around the age of 7 or so, she decided that she wanted to be Obi-Wan when she grew up. No amount of logical arguing, pointing out that she was female, not force sensitive, and in the wrong galaxy could convince her otherwise. So I made her this blue bladed saber in a similar style to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi's saber for christmas that year.

Sullux saber
Along with the Obi-Wan style saber, I thought it would be appropriate to do another in a style similar to Qui-Gon's saber to give to my brother, as he would be the one teaching swordplay to my neice. So I made this saber, and named it Sullux, after my brother's company. It's hard to see in these pictures because they're a bit blurry, but this saber has a metal tube outside, and another tube inside with black rubber. A section of the metal has been cut away to show the tube inside, and the rubber grip for it.
